Graphics: ArrowsThe double-headed arrows on this
page are all PNG images. I developed them by accident and then decided
to keep going. I've reduced the size of a number of them but
some remain quite large. The good part is that they can be expanded or
shrunk without distorting the image. Stretch them in a variety of ways
and you'll find they stay together pretty well on screen. Most images
are about 7 to 12 KB. I saw these as navigation for
multimedia projects. I placed links to "home" and "table of contents"
sections in the space between the arrow heads. Of course, you've
probably guessed that the arrow heads represent "next" and "previous." As I got adventurous, I also started
stacking multiple arrows on a single frame to create a design - like a
colorful ladder - and then started hooking them together to form other
shapes. They became a form of graphical building blocks. Experiment and
see what you do with them. They're already saved as transparent images. To download the images . .
.right-click (Windows) or hold down your mouse button (Mac) and you'll
get the hidden menu in your browser that will let you "Save Image As"
or some message along that line. Just make sure you know where you
saved it.
