Lucas on Teachers and Teaching
After reading the sections assigned from Edutopia
and viewing the interview with George Lucas, respond to the following:
- Proponents of technology use in the classroom contend that it
has the potential to change (1) what student's learn; (2) how students
learn; and (3) how teachers teach. What do they mean by these
statements, and how might those changes benefit learners?

- According to its supporters, what kinds of benefits does
project-based learning provide?
- In your opinion, could conventional instructional approaches
(e.g., lecture with seatwork; small group discussions) provide the same
benefits?
- One frequently heard objection to project-based learning is
that "our students couldn't handle that." How could proponents of
project-based approaches respond to that challenge?
