FramesPortfolio Template FrameseZedia has created several templates already
done in the resources that come with their software that are either for
development of portfolios or could easily be used for portfolios. The
NETS portfolio I have posted at this site is one of those that I took
from their collection and adapted. I recently decided to take some of
the design elements from their dedicated portfolio template and come up
with another alternative.
I've made all of the bits and pieces and was just experimenting. For example, in Figure 1, we have a monochromatic approach with the light blue buttons on the darker blue background. As you roll over each of the buttons in the project when it is "live," the buttons will change to white. Immediately following Figure 1 is a link to view the "live" file. Note - to keep the file size small, I have removed all of the other frames except for the demo frame. You can roll your mouse over the buttons to see how they look as rollovers; however, you won't be able to click and have it take you anywhere. The demo file is about 64 KB. Figure 1: Blue buttons on top ![]() To view the demo of the one-frame project in Figure 1, click on this link. Figure 2 shows the effect of putting the contrasting white buttons on top which will turn to blue when you rollover them with your mouse. For some reason, I decided to try changing the next and previous buttons, represented by the arrows, to yellow. I'm not too certain how I feel about the final look. My intention was to have the different color alert the end user to the unique purpose of these buttons. That goal might have been achieved by sticking with the white, instead of the yellow. If I decide to change them, it will only take a minute and it will automatically take place across all frames when I do this in eZediaMX or eZediaQTI. As with Figure 1, I've got a link to a "live" project immediately following Figure 2. Again, you can see the rollover effect, but the links are not active. Figure 2: White buttons on top ![]() To view the demo of the one-frame project in Figure 2, click on this link. If you want to use my bits and pieces to make something for yourself, I've got the items available for download. They've been zipped into a single file for convenience. The entire collection is only 126 KB. I've also included a plain blue button and a plain white button so you can put your own text on top and ignore anything I've done. Again, these items are made available so you can explore and experiment. Graphics for creating your own template can be downloaded by clicking on this link. |
