We'd like to thank the Park Manager, Mr. Robert Mitchell, for his assistance while we were visiting Hampton Plantation State Historic Site. Teachers will want to take advantage of the terrific learning opportunities provided by the State Park Service.

The South Carolina Park Service has a complete educational program available to teachers who want to bring history alive for their students. It has pre- and post-visit activities as well as the learning activities for when the students are at the site. You can find all the details at:
