Katy, Texas is home to some of the
friendliest people you'll find anywhere. When we asked for their help
to get information on rice farming, the mayor, Doyle Callender, the
city administrator, Johnny Nelson, and David Nelson responded most
generously. We were fortunate to be able to visit the new Katy Heritage
Museum that houses a large collection of farm implements and artifacts
celebrating agriculture's impact on the development of Katy, as well as
giving a sense of the early days of Katy. The photos on this page are
just part of the collection. More will be posted. All of them are from
Katy. We'd like to thank them for their warm welcome and their
cooperation.
Check out the vr's of the museum that will give you a
chance to visit even if you can't get there yourself right away.
