eZedia QTI2 - Mac and Windows
Creating an e-mail link in a
project

You can create an e-mail link in a QTI2 project so that the user can click on an object and then their e-mail program will launch with the address filled in.

The process is quite simple if you've used the Goto Object already.

1. Have QTI2 up and running.

2. Have the frame open in front of you where you want to create the e-mail link.

3. Click on the Goto Object.

4. Open the Attributes Panel if it isn't already open (it's the little "i" in the top right-hand corner of the QTI2 toolbar).

5. With your Goto selected in your frame (it should have little handles around it - if not, click on the Goto Object once) -

a. change the title to something like "E-mail me!"
b. under Action, select
Goto: Web Location
URL: mailto:janemadden@bellsouth.net
Put your own e-mail address in after the mailto: command.
Look at the image I've provided on this page.

6. Save your project and generate it.

If you want to get really fancy, you can always create a spectacular graphic to represent your e-mail link and use an invisible Goto Object to give it power.
