Clicking on the thumbnail of the photo will take you to the
larger image. Most are around 640x480 and average around 50 kb each for
file size.
I'm giving the following search
engine a try. It's sole purpose is to locate birds! I've found quite a
few pictures that way and thought it might be useful for students and
teachers. So far, I've not run across anything I shouldn't have using
the tool. If you have any negative experiences, let me know and I'll
remove it
from the page. More of my own bird pictures will be coming soon.
In the meantime, you might want to try the SurfBirder search engine
dedicated
to locating information on birds. It's available at: http://www.surfbirder.com/index.html
I didn't find their image tab search option to be as useful as their
general
web search.
