Oddities

There have been more oddities being created but this particular page hasn't been updated in so long that I have neglected to tell you about them. We've placed a very large number of graphics on our other site as it is much faster. You can find graphics, photos, and movies at:
http://photos.jmadden.org

An animated string of lights to act as a border around a project, a flickering candle (quite large), and a falling snowflake can now be found at this site.

St. Patrick's Day Resources

Template and graphics to design frames for a portfolio

Elliptical centerpieces for frames

Wild frames

And now for something completely different . . .

Candle holders made from copper fittings
- 4-candle holder - equal heights
- 4-candle holder - staggered heights
- single candle holder
- wall sconce for 2 candles
Directions and photos are at available at the page.

Buttons
I was playing around making "glass" buttons for projects the other night. I'm posting some of the ones that I made.

Buttons and Other Oddities
More playing and posting on my part. I've posted the buttons with the woodgrain finish that I made for the Photo Album project.

Blue buttons made in Adobe PhotoShop Elements with the "Plastic" effect
These buttons are in pairs, designed to be used for rollovers if you want.

Graphics: Arrows
These can be used for navigation or as graphic design elements.

Graphics: Backgrounds
These have been saved as JPG images - 640 x 480.

Community Cookbook
Back in 1995, my parents celebrated being in business 50 years in their small town on the prairies. We created a cookbook to commemorate the event and invited local people to share their favorite recipes, too. The result was a wonderful collection of family favorites that is no longer available in print. However, I came across an old digital version I created. I'm afraid it only runs in the Windows environment. It is in a viewer called Envoy which was very powerful and far better than Adobe Acrobat at the time. The cookbook is a self-executing file.  Save it to disk, double-click on it, and it will run. Windows XP warns you that some program is trying to access the hard drive and the program may not function properly, but I found if I just hit Ignore when that message came up, there weren't any problems.

All the text in color, apart from the opening message, is hyperlinked allowing you to move through the cookbook quite quickly.

The file is 750KB.
