Projects at this site

For a list of a variety of smaller projects at the site, click on this link.

The Rice Project

The Rice Project is a cross-disciplinary multimedia project that sets out resources for teachers to combine in a way that can be uniquely their own.
Consider combining the power of concept mapping with multimedia and then moving to formal writing. The link above will download a zipped Adobe Acrobat version of the file that discusses the concept.
e-Writing Appendix
Here are some forms that you might find useful if you decide to take a look at something along the lines of e-Writing. The link above will download a zipped Adobe Acrobat version of the file.
Wondering how to give learning disabled students additional structures to improve their success in the area of writing? Haynes and McMurdo (2001) have published a teacher-friendly guide to assisting with the process. The book by Haynes and McMurdo is available from ISTE ( www.iste.org ). The article posted here discusses the concept. The link above will download a zipped Adobe Acrobat version of the file.

Projects and resources
I've started connecting some of the resources I've created with existing teaching projects and lessons via weblinks.
  1. Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation
  2. San Antonio Missions - San Jose Mission
  3. Alamo
  4. Wilson's Hardware and Supermarket (see teacher notes in the middle of the page)
